FAQs

Apologia is doing a conference! I thought you just did science?
Apologia still does science. It is the core of what we have done and will continue to do. Apologia was purchased by Davis and Rachael Carman (see News) and as part of their vision for Apologia we will be expanding what we do to include other areas of interest and help for homeschoolers. One of the areas that we will be growing into is live events. Apologia LIVE Homeschool Mom’s Conference is the first of these offerings.

Who should come to the conference?
Any woman who could use encouragement. This includes women who homeschool and those who don’t, although it is targeted at homeschool moms.

Will I learn about the mechanics of homeschooling at the conference?
Not necessarily. This conference is not a “how to” homeschool conference. Our primary purpose is to encourage and support homeschool moms in their personal walk with Jesus Christ. The speaking sessions and praise and worship sessions will be geared at spiritual encouragement. That being said, we will have local and national resources to help answer your questions about the support systems that are in place to help you with homeschooling questions.

How much does the conference cost?
The conference costs $105, which includes all 5 sessions, and lunch on Saturday.

Are there any discounts?
There is an early bird discount of $10 off the $105 registration fee if you sign up before November 30, 2009.

Is there financial aid?
Currently there is no financial aid available, but we are looking at options on how to help moms in the future. If you have questions about how you can help a mom come, or if you need help please send an email .
